InterMapper 4.0.2b1 and later support numeric paging directly, although the configuration is not yet obvious. The quirks in the user interface for configuration will be fixed in 4.1.
If you set up a "Paging Service" with an empty phone number field, any "Paging Subscribers" that use that service will be treated as numeric pagers. InterMapper will dial the phone number in the PagerID field. If you specify a custom message for that paging notification, InterMapper will convert the alpha-numeric message to a numeric message, by removing all non-digit characters. Thus, you can have a numeric pager notification that sends the IP address for a device that has gone down.
One further bit of info: you'll want to put wait characters (usually commas) after the phone number in the PagerID field, so that there will be a delay between the dialing of the pager number and the dialing of the message.
