InterMapper 4.0.2b1 and later support numeric paging directly, although 
the configuration is not yet obvious. The quirks in the user interface 
for configuration will be fixed in 4.1.

If you set up a "Paging Service" with an empty phone number field, any 
"Paging Subscribers" that use that service will be treated as numeric 
pagers. InterMapper will dial the phone number in the PagerID field. If 
you specify a custom message for that paging notification, InterMapper 
will convert the alpha-numeric message to a numeric message, by 
removing all non-digit characters. Thus, you can have a numeric pager 
notification that sends the IP address for a device that has gone down.
