We found a plugin for the Ethernet, compiled it, placed the files in the Tools directory. We alco placed a copy of the check_temptraxe file in the /usr/local/nagios/libexec directory on the chance that the code would be called from there.
We set up IM with the Nagios command
mrtg_temptraxe check_temptraxe!216.169.0.9!1!80!90
This should report the status of the first probe. However IM reports an error executing the command.
The debug log should say at least a little bit more about why it couldn't execute the command. If you tell me what it says (or email it to me off-list) I might be able to give you a better idea of what's going wrong.
