IM Remote downloads the icons from the server once and caches them locally. I would suggest that you clear the icon cache on the IM Remote machine to force IM Remote to re-download the icons from the server. To do this in IM Remote bring up the Debug window as follows:
On a Mac, type command-option-shift-Z. On Windows or Linux, type control-alt-shift-Z.
Bring the Debug window to the front and choose "Clear icon cache" from the "Misc" menu.
