These are Cisco's Routers and that have bandwidth settings correctly in place for each sub-interface already. This is an IM error.

I can think of two ways to fix the bandwidth value being shown on InterMapper: - If the router is a Cisco, each interface or sub-interface can be configured with a "bandwidth" setting. Known as an "informational parameter," the bandwidth setting influences routing metrics and the bandwidth reported by SNMP. I did this at the router on my ATM and Frame relay sub-interfaces, and InterMapper receives the correct bandwidth settings. - Change the bandwidth value on the device's sub-interface at the InterMapper map. Click on the interface to bring up its status window. Drag the status window to make it permanent. Under "Interface Statistics," next to "Utilization," click on the underlined number in (of ___ Mbit/kbit FD bandwidth). A dialog box will popup that shows the speed reported via SNMP: change it to the real speed of the sub-interface. Thanks, Mark - Mark C. Each link is defined as 1.536Mb bandwidth. Each is actually a Point to Point Sub-Interface of the SAME physical T1 using Frame-Relay. So what you are looking at CAN'T really happen. Unfortunately we have seen this behavior in InterMapper for some time now. I really think this needs to be fixed. _________________________ Mike Lieberman, President Net Wright LLC Tel: 307-857-4868 Fax: 307-857-3078 IF YOUR MAIL TO ME GETS BOUNCED please see: http://www.netwright.net/blockedmail.html ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
