From the combination of all these issues, it sounds like InterMapper is not using the same InterMapper Settings directory that you previously used, or perhaps the permissions are wrong for some of the sub-directories.

Please provide more info: is this Mac OS X? Did you install the InterMapper-43.pkg OSX package?

The installer package does not modify the contents of the InterMapper Settings directory in /Library/Application Support/, but it does try to fix up the ownership and permissions on Mac OSX. The goal was to tighten the permissions a little bit; if you install the daemon as one version but try to run IM Traditional as a different user, you may run into trouble.
