An interesting idea. I'm guessing that there are
significant licensing issues that we don't want
to get into (I'm quite sure fonts are generally
copyrighted), but it would be interesting to
check into.
Users of Mac and Windows machines already have
access to a large number of standard TrueType
fonts; the issue will be Unix systems, which may
or may not.
