May I add yet another touch: shared polling is
activated for devices that have exactly the same
polling options. Well, it seems that if all
polling options are indeed the same, except the
time periods, but if the different periods are
exact multiple of the shortest one, shared
polling should be possible.
We considered that, but in the end decided that
keeping it simple was the better idea for the
moment. That's not to say that we wouldn't
consider again it in the future.
