Michael,

Yes, it’s the name ‘paging’ that directs the modem paging entries to this
log. I don’t think there are other specially named logs for testing. The
paging log is the same as enabling detailed logging for Modem Paging, only
all the information is written to the paging log. You can redirect some log
file entries, e.g. the Remote and Web server log entries, to a log file you
have created. You do this in the Server Settings for both the Remote and Web
servers. But you cannot create a log file for just one map or probe.

Not to hijack to this thread, but what other kind of log files can you
create?  Can you create a log file to keep the events of just one map, or
just one probe (server)?  I tried creating a "test" log file, but nothing
populated the log.

Does that paging log file work because it's name "paging"?

Dan,

Create a new log file named 'paging' using the Server Settings > Log Files
settings, and then test your notifier again. There will be additional
debugging information written to the \InterMapper Logs\paging.txt file. You
can send the file to [EMAIL PROTECTED], along with the version of
InterMapper you are running and the OS where it is installed, and we will
have a look at the log file for you to see if there are more clues.

Is anyone using the AT&T Enterprise Messaging service to send TAP messages?
I'm having difficulty getting Intermapper to send messages through their
system.  Nextel worked just fine but we got new phones (BlackJack II's) and
of course AT&T service, but can't get IM to send messages.  The first number
I tried was 866 883 7243.  I could connect and IM would attempt to send but
an error message was returned:

CModemPageConnection::StartTAPSession: Paging terminal requested resend.

Using the number from their enterprise paging web page
(www.enterprisepaging.com/faq.jsp#02) which is 888-298-3562, IM dials,
squeaks and sqawks, connects and then immediately disconnects with the
message:

XSocketSerial::Dial: NO CARRIER returned from dialing the number.

Any hints or sggestions?

Dan
