Hi All,
Although I can see the reason for this, it would also, as I'm familiar with the webserver/interface in IM, mean that the server should be re- written from scratch - and maybe implemented as a full AJAX 'client'.
The current IM webserver is a pure 'presentation' server, as it does not allow Any data in any maps to be modified - that would need to change - with the added security risks involved.
Have you looked into adding the Java JAR into a custom webpage?? Although that might need IMR licenses..
On solution could be to allow IMR to run in 'presentation mode only' as an advanced web-frontend, without requiring a remote license...

I have 2 more feature request to make. Both of these as I understandhave been requested before so I am just trying to show the importance ofthis request. 1) It would be great if we could Acknowledge alarms from the web page (based of security levels) 2) The possibility of sounds being generated from the web page so that some of our users would not need the client just to HEAR the alarms. What does everyone else think? Would these be good improvements? ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
