I've been asking to fix this 'bug' for a while now. Basically, the logic should 
be, if a failure is detected, then the devices "up the chain" should be polled 
one by one to determine where the failure is.

Ok, I did test it and it seems to work. Occasionally, one of the "lower"
probes would get polled before the "upper" probe and trigger extraneous
notifications. The probes below the upper were greyed out like the
should be though. This would not be necessary however if multiple probes
could be combined for a device (without using map status probes).
