InterMapper is monitoring from one address (the server) and the ping, telnet, ssh, etc. would be initiated from your local machine. That is if you are using the IM Remote client to access the InterMapper server. So it is a question of perspective; from IM server the path is open, but from IM client machine, the path is not. We run into that quite frequently, and we can't say we are new any longer.
