Ben,

We used to have trouble with this, though at the time we were using an email interface to qpage from Intermapper.

In our case it was usually noisy phone lines. Being in the tropics, our telco often experiences trouble corrosion or water in the lines causing poor quality connections. Our modems failing to connect with newer error correcting modulation schemes would fall back to older methods. When using a terminal program to test the connection we would see bursts or even continuous streams of garbage.

We now send email directly to the paging company instead of using the dialup connection.

I'm unsure of where to start with this - so I thought the source of the page would be a good place! InterMapper.

We're receiving garbage pages - about 1 in 10. Total garbage - ie I don't have the characters available on my keyboard to type them out.

Anyone else have/had this issue?

Pages are being sent via a dialup modem to a paging service. Nothing has changed bar the version of InterMapper.

This is pretty odd behavior. I'm submitting this as a support request and you'll get a separate confirmation. Thanks.
