Our office staff recently began turning down printers and non-critical
devices after business hours to save energy. We have these devices mapped
along with the office servers, switches, etc. During the day, we want to be
notified when anything, including a printer, goes offline. After hours we
don't want to be notified that a non-critical device is offline.

We're struggling with setting up a notifier that we could set to ignore
these things after hours. At present, it looks like the only way to
accomplish what we want is to build a map of the "night time" devices, and
then set up a separate notifier schedule. For simplicity and logical
layout, we would like to keep our maps intact...instead of farming the
devices out to another map.

It would be wonderful to have the ability to have device-specific,
map-specific or individual notifiers that aren't tied to the master notifier
schedule. Anybody have ideas we can try? Another Dartware feature request?

Hi Pat,

Unless I am misunderstanding you, the schedule for each individual notifier is not tied to any master notifier. You don't have to create a separate map for the "night-time" devices, but just create a separate notifier for them that is inactive during those hours that you don't care about.
