Hi Daniel,
I can only add that it's been requested many times before.
Right now, IM's focus is much more 'constant running' connections, to backbone
and servers. Monitoring client interfaces to devices that is not 'always on' is
not the current focus.
What we do, is temporarily add those if we have special issues with a client,
but otherwise we use NetFlow to track down client issues - if any.
