Reposting for those who couldn't see the answer: A partial answer:
In 5.5 and later, we include the "Microsoft DHCP Lease Check" probe, which will work with the Microsoft DHCP server and will report and alarm on lease availability. Microsoft makes the information available via SNMP, which makes it easy.
