Hello, We maintain very large hotel networks with many devices on many floors. We are trying to make our maps smaller and more manageable by splitting them into submaps by floor. The problem I'm encountering with this is keeping our interface connections for the network hierarchy. We need to have the full network hierarchy defined so our notifications work correctly.
What I would like to do is have the "master map" display a high level view of the network and the MDFs and IDFs. I'd like to create and icon that represents the status of a submap (one of the floors) that one can double click on to view detail. I know I can create a device that displays the overall status of a submap, but is there is any that the submap's vantage point can be attached to a device on another map? Hopefully my description makes sense. Any thoughts?
