Anyway, don't forget there are also other projects than PHP that rely on these header files, so wouldn't it make sense to let Apple know BEFORE they release the new MacOSX version?
Sure. I've known about this since June, but unfortunately didn't investigate it enough to realize that it is an Apple problem. And now the new version is already in duplication and will be available, shrink-wrapped, in stores this Friday.
Which is why the "complain to Apple" approach doesn't help with the 10.3 release. But I'll report it nonetheless.
