I disagree with Derick and I thought we agreed that the default would stay E_ALL and not E_ALL|E_STRICT.

Yes it was clearly agreed that for the sake of PEAR and others E_STRICT should not be a part of E_ALL. Derick's probably getting too old to remember things correctly :)
