*TITLE:* *WebLogic Administrator (perm)*

* *

*JOB DESCRIPTION:*

   - Administer WebLogic environments with Oracle Fusion Middleware and
   other applications which are deployed
   - Provide for the design, implementation, configuration, documentation,
   and administration of WebLogic enterprise middleware supporting both
   intranet and internet applications.
   - Provide administration of Oracle’s WebLogic 10.3X application server
   in a clustered, HA environment.
   - Provide assistance in maintaining a standardized and stable WebLogic
   middleware landscape and provide technical guidance on new and existing
   project initiatives.
   - Utilizing Oracle WebLogic suite of products, deliver middleware
   solutions while collaborating with developers, system administrators,
   network administrators, peers, and the architectural design team.
   - Develop and implement system standards and make recommendations to
   maximize WebLogic middleware system performance
   - Develop WebLogic configuration migration and application deployment
   plans
   - Provide production control support primarily in the UNIX and
   application server environment
   - Assist in setting-up/verifying the UNIX/Linux application environment

·         Write scripts as needed with Perl and Linux shell scripting
(BASH, CSH)

   - Implement Oracle WebCenter and/or ATG and work with the team and be
   responsible for updating and enhancing the customer portion of our web
   sites that capture consumer data.

·         Proactively identify potential problems and manage them through
to resolution.

   - Provide technical support to ensure business applications function
   according to business and technical requirements.
   - Adhere to company SDLC and technology architecture standards.
   Contribute to company architecture design principles and standards as
   appropriate
   - Proactively identify and report potential problems to project team
   members/leaders. Prepare alternative plans and recommend/implement
   solutions as appropriate
   - Ensure project status and work estimates are reported to team leaders
   and managers in a timely fashion
   - Proactively communicate with team members to ensure issues are
   analyzed and resolved.
   - Conduct capacity planning reviews with internal management
   - Develop and manage the support package for patch application.
   - Monitor database maintenance and provide appropriate recommendations,
   when required
   - Automate the administration of the application start up scripts and
   run-time environment tasks where possible
   - Prepare and deliver technical documentation as required
   - Provide on-call support for production environment components



*REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:*



·         5 years or more experience administering Oracle’s WebLogic 10.3X
application server in a clustered, HA environment.

   - Previous experience analyzing JVM thread dumps, heap dumps, and root
   cause analysis of crash dumps
   - Previous experience implementing Oracle WebCenter or ATG and will be
   working with the team responsible in updating and enhancing the customer
   portion of our web sites that capture consumer data.

·         Understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems

·         Understanding of J2EE framework components including JDBC, JMS,
and JNDI

·         Previous experience deployment processes utilizing ANT scripts
and implementing build management

·         Understanding of SQL and database objects.

·         Previous experience integrating WebLogic with an LDAP based
Identity Management system such as Active Directory.

·         Previous experience with Perl and Linux shell scripting (BASH,
CSH)

·         Understanding of subnets, firewalls, routing, transport protocols

·         Understanding of estimating the scope of work and preparing
detailed estimates

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills, with ability to
communicate effectively with people on their level.

·         Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills



*NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: *

   - Oracle SOA Suite, ADF Framework experience, Sites or other Java-based
   CMS and E-Commerce platforms


   - Experience with creating Coherence servers and clusters



*EDUCATION:*

   - BS in MIS, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or Engineering
