It will be interesting to see if this means fewer, or more hiccups in what programs go on air in what streams via what platforms at what times. The PR mentions the replacement of 1200 satellite receivers -- I presume that means the receivers used at the shortwave and local AM/FM transmitter sites, as well as those stations who use BBC for part of their schedules and do not get the BBC via an intermediary (US public radio stations get the BBC through PRI).
