I'm all for FM radios in cell phones... I just don't see why Congress or the FCC needs to mandate it. If the demand is there why wouldn't manufacturers add it to the product? The only (possibly) valid argument is public safety and emergency communications. Judging though from the number of local stations that interrupted programming to notify residents in my area of tornado warnings last week and this week, that's not a high priority of the FM station owners.
