The degree to which this appears to have shaken the BBC is analogous to the
collective shudder we had here in PA over the Penn State University / Jerry
Sandusky matter.

If this had been 1-2 years ago it wouldn't have mattered as much at the
World Service given its separation from the rest of the BBC, but with the
melding of the WS into the rest of the Beeb it becomes more problematic.
