Abstract.
Innovation and reproduction in Black cultures and societies
cannot be effectively and meaningfully discussed or
appropriately appraised without references to pre and post
colonial periods with its attendant consequences, therefore
bringing debates and a confusion of the meaning of Black
cultures and societies or cultures and societies of Africans
and African descended people/populations whether they are in
Africa, South America, North America, the Caribbean etc.

>From a comparative perspective, this section would be
appraising emerging innovations bordering on Education,
Health, Religion, Intra and International migrations in
black cultures and societies. Other developmental issues are
also welcomed. Papers may also evaluate loses and benefits
and lessons gained as they interact with other cultures and
societies. Papers are welcomed in the thematic areas and can
be theoretical, analytical or empirical. Also papers, on
conceptual nature, supported by textual examples, are
welcome. A principal aim of the section during the
conference is to initiate dialogue between experts from
Africa, North America, South America, the Caribbean and
Europe on African issues and to address the complexities
surrounding major developmental issues in Africa and what
future lessons we derive from these dialogues.
