Call for Applications 8 PhD Positions in Political Theory Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli (LUISS) Rome (Italy) __________________________________________________ 8 PhD Positions in Political Theory available at Luiss Guido Carli University - Rome. The Luiss G. Carli University of Rome invites applications for a three-year full-time PhD program in Political Theory, commencing in Spring 2008. Candidates are expected to work on areas related to political and practical philosophy, human rights or international relations, and complete a PhD thesis within three years. The official language of the program is English. Knowledge of Italian is not required. 8 positions are available this year, 4 of which will be supported with scholarships. The annual amount of each scholarship is 11,000 Euros. Scholarships are granted for the entire program. In order to apply, the applicants must submit: - the official transcripts of their undergraduate degree (students who have a Master degree are also required to submit these transcripts), - a writing sample (between the 5,000 and the 10,000 words), - two letters of recommendation by professors or relevant professionals in the field, - Curriculum vitae, - a short research proposal (max. 3 pages long).
