Ankündigung "Cultural Universals and Particulars" Winterakademie mit Kwasi Wiredu Forum Scientiarum, Universität Tübingen Tübingen (Deutschland) 25.-28. Februar 2008 __________________________________________________ Das FORUM SCIENTIARUM an der Universität Tübingen lädt 20 Interessenten zur Teilnahme an einer dreitägigen Akademie mit dem ghanaischen Philosophen Kwasi Wiredu ein. Anmeldung erforderlich (s.u.)!!! Frist ist der 31.12.2007. Thema Human interaction is communicative before it is anything else. This is as true across, as it is within, cultures. No human society or community is possible without communication, for a community is not just an aggregation of individuals existing as windowless monads but of individuals as interacting persons, and an interaction of persons can only be on the basis of shared meanings. Therefore, human interaction also necessarily involves normative issues. A little reflection will show that cultural factors predominate in the development of the powers of communication in an individual. Nevertheless, the fundamental biological similarity of all human beings assures the possibility of resolving all such disparities, for the foundation of all communication is biological. We will elaborate on these claims and examine their implications for cultural universalism and particularism. The emerging particulars will be African ones. Die Einführung und Abenddiskussionen sind auf Deutsch. Vorbereitende Literatur wird den Teilnehmern zugesandt. Kosten Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos. Das FORUM SCIENTIARUM zahlt auswärtigen Teilnehmern die Unterkunft in der JH Tübingen (Übernachtung und Frühstück). Zusätzlich wird ein Reisekostenzuschuss von max. 50 EUR gewährt.
