"Conflict, Harmony, Peace, and World Government"

We invite participants and paper submissions for the comprehensive
peace conference outlined below, which will include IPPNO’s 13th
International Conference. All academic disciplines and peace
thinkers are welcome.

WORLD THINKERS' AND POETS' PEACE MEET-
including 12th Session Provisional World Parliament &
13th Conference of International Philosophers for Peace (IPPNO)
on the themes of CONFLICT, HARMONY, PEACE, and WORLD GOVERNMENT
27-31 December 2010 at Kolkata, India

A copy of abstracts and paper submissions for the IPPNO Conference, as
well as the registration form, should be sent to:

Registration fee includes local transport, sightseeing in Kolkata,
food, and lodging for the duration of the conference (December 27-31).

and Research) & Giribala Education Society, Kolkata, in collaboration
with WCPA (World Constitution and Parliament Association) and IPPNO
(International Philosophers For Peace) USA:

PROGRAMME OUTLINE:

December 26-27 (participants arrive)

27-29 Dec.: Provisional World Parliament Session (see that call on
www.worldproblems.net) and other sessions including Inauguration,
Peace March, Release of Special Volumes, Art & Book Exhibitions,
Poets' Meet, Cultural Programmes etc,

30-31 Dec.: IPPNO Sessions, other sessions including valedictory
session, Adoption of World Peace Resolution, Peace Award, other
prizes, Site seeing etc. (complete program will be published in
'Culture and Quest' at the time of conference).

January 1-2 (most participants depart).

TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION: Under the central themes of 'Conflict,
Harmony, Peace, and/or World Government’, papers may be submitted
from scientific, philosophical, aesthetic, or ethical perspectives.
Also welcome are papers on Peace Education, Music and Peace, Art &
Peace or Poetry and Peace.

Registration form and fee of $400 for hard currency countries should
be completed before October 2010. 5% additional after that time.
Deadline for abstracts of papers and registration: November 1.
Deadline for completed papers: December 1.

TOPICS FOR ESSAY COMPETITION OF STUDENTS & SCHOLARS:
1. Violence, Nonviolence & Peace
2. Human Rights, Freedom & Peace,
3. Conflicts, Harmony & Peace
4. Poetry & Peace
5. Feminist Movements & Peace
6. Religious & Communal Conflicts & Peace
7. Threats to Nature, Balance of Ecology & Peace
(2 copies of essays are to be sent within September 2010) &
competition of Art (paintings on peace).

5. Full paper by December 1, 2010

$400 (HC Countries)
$200 (non-HC Countries)
Rs.3000/- (for India & Bangladesh)
Rs.1000/- (local delegates)
