Call for Applications Type: Visiting Fellows in the Ethics of War and Peace Institution: Stockholm Centre for the Ethics of War and Peace, Stockholm University Location: Stockholm (Sweden) Date: June 2016 Deadline: 1.10.2015 __________________________________________________ The Stockholm Centre for the Ethics of War and Peace will host up to six Visiting Fellows for the month of June 2016. Applications are welcome from both faculty (including those holding non-tenured posts and post-docs) and doctoral students doing analytic work in the field of the ethics of war and peace, broadly construed. There will be a weekly reading group on recent work in the ethics of war and peace, regular seminars at which Fellows will present and discuss their work, and a weekly visiting speaker seminar with awesome people. These fellowships are not salaried. However, SCEWP will provide accommodation in shared apartments in Stockholm, along with shared office space in the Philosophy Department. Fellows will also receive up to 10,000 SEK (approx. US$1200) towards travel expenses. Graduate applications should include: - A writing sample on the topic of the ethics of war and peace (no more than 8000 words, including notes). Longer submissions will not be accepted. - A short summary of the topic of your doctoral work (no more than 500 words) - A short CV (no more than two pages) - A letter from your supervisor or head of department confirming that you will be registered as a doctoral student during the visiting period.
