The project

The positions are affiliated with the newly financed research
prosject Good Integration (GOODINT): Goals and bottlenecks of
successful integration and social cohesion.

GOODINT (2021-2025) project researches notions of equality of
opportunity, cultural integration and social cohesion, and their
impact on good integration. With focus on three European contexts
(Norway/Nordics, UK, and Hungary), GOODINT develops empirically
informed theoretical knowledge on good integration: its meaning,
value, and means of achieving it.

For more informatino about the project, see the following website:
GOODINT.

Applicants are required to submit a research proposal related to one
of more of the following themes:

1. What does successful integration of migrants in European countries
   amount to? (The definitional question)

2. What, conceptually and empirically speaking, are the main
obstacles to successful integration? (The realization question)

3. What is the moral significance of achieving it? (The normative
   question)

We are especially interested in political philosophical proposals
that are problem-oriented and analytically discuss the above issue(s)
in relation to a) equality of opportunity, b) cultural integration,
or c) social cohesion. We are also open to projects that draw upon
relevant empirical research in the social sciences, although the main
theoretical framework should be within political philosophy/theory.
With respect to relevant empirical contexts, GOODINT focuses on cases
of Hungary, Norway/Nordics, and UK in particular.
