The project

The project is hosted by the Pluralism, Democracy, and Justice (PDJ)
research group based at the Department of Philosophy, UiT.

Applicants are required to submit a research proposal related to one
of more of the following themes:

1. What does successful integration of migrants in European countries
   amount to? (The definitional question)

2. What, conceptually and empirically speaking, are the main
obstacles to successful integration? (The realization question)

3. What is the moral significance of achieving it? (The normative
   question)

We are especially interested in political philosophical proposals
that are problem-oriented and analytically discuss the above issue(s)
in relation to a) equality of opportunity, b) cultural integration,
or c) social cohesion.

The project should take a perspective from within contemporary
political philosophy/theory, but do so in a way that is also informed
by relevant empirical research in the social sciences.

With respect to relevant empirical contexts, GOODINT focuses on cases
of Hungary, Norway/Nordics, and UK in particular.
