If you are using standard NNTP software then it's probably not so easy. If you don't want your email to be (readily) exposed to harvesters then the only way to prevent that is to use a fake email address. The power of NNTP isn't the technology but the sheer mass of it. The fact that ISC has chosen not to use the public newsgroup servers gives them (and us) a lot more possibilities. There are a lot more sophisticated groupware/knowledgeware tools available then an archaic newsserver, with features for searching, grouping, filtering and sharing information. One of your complaints about large or binary attachments could easily be managed by those tools: download is then an option. How much I appreciate Peter's archive or Rob's or Sukesh's initiatives for sharing Cache knowledge, it should be facilitated by ISC. Herman
