I experimented with Flush() but gave up, I could not be bothered to make it work, never though of trying with port 1972. I wanted to start painting the page, and send a message "please wait, getting the results" and Flush() that to the screen then do the calculations and finally paint the results,
I ended up using the innerHTML tag to paint a message, fetch the results, format the results and then re-paint the page with the results. I still think it would be nice to use the Flush() command, kev
