(JG Photo/Jurnasyanto Sukarno) After giving up the names of two lawmakers who were allegedly involved in attempts to extort directors of state-owned companies, State-Owned Enterprise Minister Dahlan Iksan has said that he will inform the House of Representatives Ethics Council of other legislators guilty of committing similar acts. “Tomorrow [Wednesday], I will submit the names and the details of the cases to the House Ethics Council,” Dahlan said on Tuesday, as quoted by Antara news agency. “I’m not afraid.” However, he refused to give the names of the people he planned to report to the media. Dahlan has been under fire from lawmakers after he revealed to Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam that around 10 lawmakers were guilty of extorting the directors of various state-owned companies. On Monday, the state-owned enterprise minister told the House that two lawmakers — Sumaryoto and Idris Laena, both of the Golkar Party — were involved in three different extortion cases. Lawmakers scorned Dahlan for only disclosing two names after he previously said he suspected at least 10 lawmakers had tried to solicit bribes from state-owned companies in the lead-up to the approval of the 2013 state budget. Dahlan later decided to reveal more legislators involved. “By giving two names, the Ethics Council can actually pursue the case,” he said. “But as we were requested to reveal more names, we will give them soon.
