Poso Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Eko Santoso said that the camp, located 2-kilometers from a military post at Tamanjeka, was discovered on Saturday. At the camp, the military found a rifle, 10 bullets, field outfits, raincoats, knives, transformers, oil, cables, batteries and a tree with the word “Al-jihad” carved on it. Al-jihad is an Islamic extremist group, active since the late 1970s and seeking to overthrow the Egyptian government and replace it with an Islamic state. “All evidence has been secured at Poso Police station and is now being analyzed by the Automatic Fingerprints Identification System [Inafis] of the Poso Police and the Central Sulawesi Police,” he said, adding that the military was still combing the area of Tamanjeka, as quoted by tempo.co.
