ICAP announces 3rd World Cuba Solidarity Conference
      • October 27-31, 2014, International Convention Center, Havana

THE Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), social and
mass organizations in Cuba and the Cuban branch of the Network in Defense of
Humanity, have announced the 3rd World Cuba Solidarity Conference, Cuba
Solidarity 2014.

The conference, organized by the Cuba Solidarity Movement, follows on
from the two previous editions, and represents international support for the
validity of the emblematic model of Cuban social justice and its viability as
an alternative for "the better world," for which the peoples are fighting.

Amid constant acts of aggression, media disinformation and the global
crisis, this encounter aims to provide a forum for initiatives, proposals and
exchange of strategies in solidarity with Cuba, in order to improve tools and
structures of struggle and to spread the truth more effectively, and to express
it wherever necessary.

At the time of convening the 3rd World Conference, the Cuban people are
still impacted by 50 years of economic warfare and the inhuman blockade, which
they are continuing to resist, compounded by failed but unchanged imperialist
attempts to isolate the Cuban Revolution. The Cuban people remain united,
building and improving their socialism, and contributing their modest
experience to the integration processes being adopted in Latin America,
offering viable alternatives to ensure the best for future generations, as a
response to the overwhelming failure of neoliberal capitalism.

Guided by the anti-imperialist, visionary and humanist thinking of José
Martí and Fidel, the eternal leaders and exponents of Cuban traditions, this
conference demonstrates Cuba's internationalist vocation and solidarity with
all noble causes for the benefit of the peoples and their enjoyment of
fundamental human rights: freedom, peace and social justice.

From this Afro-Asian, Latin American and Caribbean island, in the 54th
year of the Revolution, ICAP invites all forces, movements, groups, and persons
of goodwill, to emphasize all that unites us, while respecting differences
which, at the end of the day, constitute the richness of diversity. The
Conference will take place Havana October 27 through 31, 2014.

it will be "the jury of millions," convened by Gerardo Hernández Nordelo,
Hero of the Republic of Cuba, where – if it is still necessary – we will
continue making every effort in a struggle which will not end until our five
Cuban anti-terrorist fighters return to their homeland.

      See you in 2014!

      (ICAP World Conference Organizing Committee)
