It is not about the lavishness or the expensiveness of the room and its furnishings,” the President added. “I hope all officials in this country can follow my lead. The less expensive [your offices] are [the more we can spend on] our people,” he said. Last week, before meeting with former Indonesian Military (TNI) generals, Yudhoyono made a very similar statement. He told reporters about his modest working quarters at the State Palace.
