I also got it to recalibrate, which didn't help with linux machines. I am not sure why it didn't work the first time. I must have not been shorting out the pins correctly. I also tried it in an ubuntu machine and got an error about a modem crashing. I have attached a pic of some of the error message. Seems to me like it might be a linux issue now.
