Hi there, I’m new in this group and also a beginner with IOIO programming. 2 Weeks ago I received two IOIO V1.6 boards. (PIC24FJ256DA206; LogCat: Hardware ID: SPRK0016 Bootloader ID: IOIO0304 Firmware ID: IOIO0324)
In the mean time I could manage to run HelloIOIO on three different devices. So far so good. Since I have read a lot in different threads, also some question marks raised up. I’m wondering the reasons for upgrading the firmware. Is it always better to have the actual recommended version (like today 4.00) uploaded on the board? Are there limitations on major version for upgrading with non-OTG boards? If firmware needs to be updated, needs the Bootloader also be updated?
