I have a hobby ESC and a brushless motor connected in a RC car.  The IOIO 
can send pulses to the ESC to move the car forward and back without 
problems.  However, I cannot figure out a pulse to apply the brake. 1500 
just sets the motor to neutral so the car keeps rolling and passing the 
target object. The ESC is currently programmed to maximum brake, but it 
doesn't make any difference.

I don't want to send a reverse pulse while it is moving forward since I 
think it could damage the motor, but I could be wrong.  Therefore any 
suggestion will be appreciated.
