All,
Ytai responded in a pvt message that some other people have reported this
too. His response is -- " It seems like the sudden outgoing current pulse
on VBUS can sometimes damage the switcher". Apparently folks from
SeeedStudio are looking at it too.

Will keep you updated, if I hear anything more. For now I am hoping that
creating a separate circuit to get the android device separate power
(directly from input power, which in my case is going to be 5v) is going to
solve this rare problem.

Request for Ytai. You had indicated that we have the spots to get D+ and D-
which we can get into another board using pogosticks. Will it be possible
to get them in one of the Pins? That way we could simple take those (D+ and
D-), the voltage and gnd to our own USB female slot in an external board?
Being new I am not sure how difficult and rugged a pogo stick with be...
especially when used in a automotive application. This also (IMO) will
isolate the power circuit and MAY not cause the above problem.

Best regards
RK
