Hi Ytai,

I hate to belabor this, but I am a little confused about the phones (like
the Nexus 5) that only have a micro-B connector. As I understand it there
is a connection in the cable itself (on the "A" end) that determines who is
the host. So, if the phone only has a micro-B connector, how is the host
determined? I have an adapter like this one (but it doesn't work with
anything I have tried so far - Nexus 4, Galaxy S4, Xoom):

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/USB-A-Female-to-micro-usb-5-Pin-Male-Adapter-Converter/312260_350920482.html

But I am assuming this is not going to be the same as the micro-A adapter
that came with the IOIO (I bought from Sparkfun). How do I know I have an
appropriate adapter? And can I use a micro-B to micro-B cable? I think
not.

I have found these "OTG" cables:

http://www.lindy-international.com/1m-USB-OTG-Cable-Black-Type-Micro-A-to-Micro-B.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld020102&pi=31941&ci=800501

and

http://www.lindy-international.com/0-5m-USB-OTG-Cable-Black-Type-Micro-B-to-Type-A.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld020102&pi=31935&ci=800501

They look like the right thing, but how can I be sure? Is the second Lindy
cable (
http://www.lindy-international.com/0-5m-USB-OTG-Cable-Black-Type-Micro-B-to-Type-A.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld020102&pi=31935&ci=800501)
the same thing as the standard adapter I can buy anywhere (
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/USB-A-Female-to-micro-usb-5-Pin-Male-Adapter-Converter/312260_350920482.html),
or is there some magic connection inside implied by the "OTG" in the name?

Thanks,
Mark.
