IOIO Hardware Tester is not part of the official IOIO codebase. I have never seen the source code and can not vouch for its quality or feature set. Adding AOA support to your app should be a simple matter of adding a dependency on the IOIOLibAndroidAccessory library via your Eclipse project or Gradle file.
