I never had any problems with Firefox, as long as I don't let it open new
windows (the focus issue)
This is what I get:

My cfg_kludges.lua doesn't contain anything about Firefox. I'm using ion
3ds-20050406 and no floating workspaces though. Have you tried another window
manager? Is the problem new since ion 20050820?
