Wouldn't it be more sensible to have the new windows being in the frame it would have been if you would un-fullscreen just before the creation of the window - but fullscreened? :)
As to the not being able to un-fullscreen the new window, I *believe* that that is a bug in older versions of ion3, what version are you using? If it isn't the latest I would suggest upgrading and seeing if that gets fixed.
Oh, I'm still using ion2 (can't look up what version at the moment) since I somehow presumed ion3 was still unstable. I will upgrade then.
