Right. But the fact remains that (at least for me) the end result - i.e. how gkrellm gets displayed - has changed between the two versions. Admittedly, it may be due to a factor external to ion itself, however I think the original poster may want to try the older version out to see if he can correlate this...
If he can't reproduce this behaviour, then it's something else.
