The box at the screen corner will only be shown if the flag is set on another workspace (iirc). The tab will change appereancy only if the window doesn't have the focus. The 'activity' flag (which corresponds to the urgency hint) is alos set when a transient is displayed in a hidden window. -- Tuomo
