hi everybody,
I've used ion1 for quite some time now (und MacOS X 10.4.7) and it suits
me very well so far. a big 'thank you' to the author.
now I noticed that ion3 (more precisely 3ds-20060305) can be installed
via `DarinPorts' and so I did yesterday in order to give it a try. it
runs just fine but every message coming from `ion3' is in finnish.
mailing to the darwinports list yielded no response and therefore...
before mailing to this list I tried to install the most recent version
of `ion3' manually but did not manage to get the `configure' run through
without errors (in the end it was not satisfied with the lua lib version
which was installed during the abovementioned darwinports install).
I gave up here and just would appreciate any feedback concerning the
following:
1.
are the finnish messages hard-coded into the mentioned version or can I
do something about it?
2.
where are the old F11 (restart) F12(exit) bindings of ion1 gone?
3.
I believe the fact that ion is available as an easily installable
package on Darwinports (ion3) and `fink' (ion1) helps a lot to get if
spread a bit more (which I think would be desirable). I only learnt of
it's existense that way. question: is someone able to contact the
darwinports people to get an 'international' (non-finnish localized)
version into their system?
