I've stumbled into the same problem after upgrading, but the remark to 'select
a working
locale/LC_CTYPE' escapes me: my locale settings work alright otherwise.

I now tried setting LC_ALL to `C' to see whether for some reason this helps,
but to no avail.

any help would be appreciated (even if I admit using MacOS which I'm
willing to let be described as crapware (seems right w.r.t. to the
recent no-update-for-statusbar-entries problem) or whatever as long as
someone can tell me how to get the f..ing labels right again).

oh yes, and this: attaching tagged frames did stop working with the previous
release and still is dysfunctional: MOD1+K+A is ignored although the frame is
apparently tagged (check mark and all). attaching via MOD1+A still works.
apart from the usual "MacOS shit" response: any idea (or even confirmation
of the problem) around?
