RTFFAQ. The workspace properties of EWMH don't map nicely into Ion's
way of handling them.

It's the (internal) name of the currently selected region within 
the mutually exclusive list of the screen. It can be also a client
window, and is therefore very dynamic, whereas EWMH properties are
geared towards a static set of traditional workspaces.
