Indeed ! I also feel extremely frustrated with this awesome
project. The basis is quite stable and really powerfull but writing
extensions/patches is totally useless. It is as is if you plan to
release your work to the public. Now I am considering patching my own
local cvs branch and do not offer my work to people (too much
work/rewrite/whatever ...).

I wish Tuomo would make it available through a CVS access even if we
just have a read access. In fact there is absolutely no need to have
direct read/write access and so Tuomo will keep the _ENTIRE_ control of
the development. Then he would be free to accept/reject patches and
same for write access to few people. Many Open Source/free project
are organized that way AFAIK.

Now maybe Tuomo has got his own reasons not to want to use a CVS to
keep tracks of the developement evolutions but I can't really see which
one ;)
